On January 2nd a group of 5 of us started the New Year off at 42 Arch Street for a workday. With our guns in hand we tackled every little nook and cranny that could possibly let any air into the house!
Wherever the sheathing met the framework a bead of expandable foam was set in place. And wherever two stringers came together a bead of caulking was applied. The group worked diligently and we were able to complete both the 1st and 2nd stories.
When we were done the house was completely airtight and Nyasia and her family will be as snug as a bug in a rug! ... well, at least they will be, once the windows, doors and roof are in place!
While we were working on sealing up the house, Louis, our site supervisor, was busy back filling the basement walls. Numerous truckloads of fill were delivered and with a small bobcat he made short work of filling in the foundation.Â
