12/7/2024 - After a greeting by Laurie, a devotion by Katie, and a word from Habitat's CEO, Matt Flanigan, we broke into three groups and headed out to our assigned worksites.
The group at the Friends and Family of Brian Kimble house arrived at the site to find the the first floor framing and plywood in place. The house is really starting to take shape!

The work on the house was twofold. A number of people worked on installing the 2nd story floor joists and the others worked on clearing the area around the foundation so the rest of the waterproof membrane could be installed.

Work at one of the other houses included mounting kitchen cabinets, installing trim, and painting.

The third group was assigned to work on a porch at another Habitat house.
At noon we all met back at the Community Place on Parsells Ave. for a nice hot lunch of chili followed by many delicious cookies and brownies. With full tummies we headed back to our worksites.
We thank God for the beautiful weather we had that day with temperatures in the mid 30's and no wind. And we were blessed by God's hand of protection on the workers that kept us all safe! It was great to once again be working along side our homeowner, Nyasia, and seeing her excitement at the progress being made on her soon-to-be new home.
We are so grateful to all who participated in the 18th Brian Kimble Build Day. You are the Friends who have:
donated in Brian's name
been faithful prayer warriors that continue to lift both this day and our family in prayer
made chili and desserts to feed the hungry workers
helped out in the kitchen
photographed our day
worked beside us on the Brian Kimble Build Day
Without all of you this house would not have been possible!
