Insulation & Front Porch Roof

March 19th was a glorious day! Five of us gathered at the house to work along with 2 other Habitat volunteers and we were blessed with a gorgeous day. The sun was shining for most of the time and we tied the record of 77 degrees!

The goal of the day was twofold. Four of us worked with Louis to build the front porch roof while three worked inside installing paper faced insulation in the walls. Our day ended with a finished front porch roof and  the entire downstairs being insulated. The busy inside crew even found time to  install some insulation in the upstairs walls.

Watching the progress on the house is very satisfying. But even more satisfying is being able to be a part of that progress with our workdays. We have enjoyed all the times we have been able to be on the house and look forward to more days ahead.
